The Property
Henness House is situated inside the gates of Yosemite National Park on a wooded parcel offering exceptional privacy and unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. Beautiful, established pine and incense cedar enhance the peacefulness and frame the mountain vistas.
Outside, a natural stone patio features a handcrafted cedar hot tub and endless Yosemite sunsets—the perfect place to soak after a day on the trails.
The home was designed to complement the natural beauty and timelessness of Yosemite with the goal of being both a launching point for adventure and a destination in its own right.
No accommodation brings you closer to the renowned attractions of Yosemite Valley with all the comforts of a luxuriously furnished home.
History and Legacy
Prior to being available to guests, Henness House was the residence of the longtime archivist of the Yosemite Museum, a part of the fabric of this storied national park.
Indeed, only three hundred yards from Henness House is the former residence of Ansel Adams, from which countless iconic images were made. One need not look far for inspiration to explore and reflect on the ageless treasure that is perhaps America’s most beloved national park.
As a measure of appreciation for the many who have come before us, and as a contribution to the many who will follow, we proudly donate 1% of every booking to the Yosemite Conservancy to support many essential caretaking projects throughout the park.
